Experts: Mr. Dastan Abishev

Dastan Abishev is the CEO of the International Center for Development of Oil and Gas Machine Building (IMBC), an organization established to promote the production of oil and gas equipment in Kazakhstan and strengthen In-Country Value in procurement by operators of major oil & gas and petrochemical projects. He brings extensive public and private-sector experience in industrial policy and In-Country Value development, including previous roles at the Ministry of National Economy, the Office of the Prime Minister, and PSA LLP, where he led work on procurement methodology and local content for major oil and gas projects. Before becoming General Director in November 2024, he served as Deputy General Director of IMBC from 2021 to 2024. He holds degrees in public administration, oil and gas engineering, and international business, and has been recognized with the “Eren Enbegi Ushin” medal and other official commendations.”
