Nigeria’s authorities will tomorrow rubber-stamp plans for construction work to begin on what is set to be the country’s debut floating liquefied natural gas vessel.Lagos-based UTM Offshore is the driving force behind plans to build an FLNG vessel with a capacity of 2.14 million tonnes per annum and which will be fed by gas from Oil Mining Licence 104, including the Yoho field.
UTM has selected Cosco’s Qidong yard in China’s Jiangsu province to fabricate the vessel’s hull.
