Consulting and engineering company Wood has secured a record-breaking US$2 billion-worth of contracts across Asia Pacific in the past 12 months.

Wood on Monday confirmed it had won new contracts on top of extensions and renewals to advise, design, execute and operate major energy and mining projects and infrastructure in Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Timor Leste and the Philippines.

The key regional energy sector scopes that the company added to its orderbook over the last year included:

*Long-term maintenance solutions for Esso (ExxonMobil) in Victoria’s Gippsland basin in Australia, optimising operational performance of both onshore and offshore assets.

*Brownfield engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCm) solutions for Shell’s Prelude floating liquefied natural gas facility offshore Western Australia.

*Front-end engineering and design for Singapore’s second LNG terminal, supporting Singapore LNG Corporation to secure volumes.

“Demand for energy and resources in the Asia Pacific region continues to soar. For over 40 years, we’ve been helping major operators with specialist consulting, engineering, project delivery and maintenance solutions to deliver on their ambitions,” said Ralph Ellis, president of Asia Pacific operations at Wood.
