The awards, announced as part of Baker Hughes’ second-quarter 2026 results, include a contract for a mature offshore field in the Middle East and a separate award from Saipem Nasser Saeed Al-Hajri Contracting Company (SNSH), a joint venture between Saipem and NSH in Saudi Arabia, following a novation agreement with Saudi Aramco.

Under the first award, Baker Hughes will supply nine electric motor-driven compressor trains for a mature offshore field in the Middle East. The compression systems will be deployed for gas injection, gas lift, and gas boosting applications, supporting improved hydrocarbon recovery, sustained production levels, and the extension of the field’s operational life.

In a separate Saudi Arabian award, Baker Hughes will provide compression solutions for Saudi Aramco’s Uthmaniyah conventional gas wells. The contract was awarded by Saipem Nasser Saeed Al-Hajri Contracting Company (SNSH) following a novation agreement with Aramco.

The scope of the Saudi Arabian project includes the supply of five electric motor-driven centrifugal compressor trains, together with associated balance-of-plant equipment and auxiliary systems. The compression facilities are intended to support production optimisation and enhanced recovery, contributing to the extension of the field’s operational life.

The awards highlight the continued deployment of Baker Hughes’ compression technologies across the Middle East’s upstream oil and gas sector, supporting operators in improving production efficiency, enhancing recovery from mature assets, and maintaining output from existing fields.

The Saudi award also demonstrates the company’s ongoing involvement in major gas development and production optimisation programmes in the Kingdom, where advanced compression systems play a critical role in supporting efficient gas production and field performance.

Baker Hughes reported that its Oilfield Services & Equipment (OFSE) segment secured strategic orders and agreements across key product lines and geographies during the second quarter of 2026. The company recorded $3.4 billion in OFSE orders during the quarter, while Middle East/Asia revenue for the segment reached $1.22 billion, representing a 6% increase sequentially.
