In today's fast-evolving technological landscape, young talents are pivotal to advancing the shield tunneling industry. To foster innovation and knowledge exchange, the Beijing Shield Tunneling Engineering Association and Suzhou Rail Transit Group Co., Ltd. will co-host the "2nd Youth Innovation Forum on Shield Tunneling Engineering Technology."
The forum will retain its successful format from the inaugural event: promising young professionals will showcase their innovative achievements in shield tunneling technology, while panels of seasoned experts will provide valuable critiques and guidance. This dynamic interaction not only serves as an ideal platform for emerging talents to present their work, but also elevates the event into a premier industry symposium combining cutting-edge technical discussions with meaningful academic exchange.
The forum is scheduled to take place in Suzhou from November 7 to 9, 2025. All organizations are invited to actively recommend speakers and organize relevant personnel to participate. The details are as follows:

Selection of Speakers and Related Activities*
1. Speakers will be recommended by member organizations of the association, as well as enterprises, institutions, research institutes, and universities related to shield tunneling. The final list of speakers will be determined after evaluation by the forum's academic committee (see Attachment 1 for specific procedures).
2. Selected speakers will deliver academic reports at the forum and be awarded the title of "Youth Innovation Talent in Shield Tunneling Technology," along with an honorary certificate.
3. The forum's academic committee and on-site participants will jointly vote to select several "Outstanding Youth Innovation Talents in Shield Tunneling Technology," who will receive honorary certificates and trophies.
Target Participants
Leaders and engineering technicians from shield tunneling construction, supervision, management, design, manufacturing, and re-manufacturing organizations; experts and scholars in the shield tunneling industry; and faculty and students from relevant disciplines in universities.
Registration Fees
Standard Registration: ¥2,580/person;
Member Organizations & Certified Experts: ¥2,200/person;
Council Member Organizations: 1 free pass and member rates for rest attendees;
University students: ¥1,800/person (valid student ID required).
The fee includes conference meals, materials, and on-site visits. Accommodation and transportation costs are to be borne individually.
